Lonsdale Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of “Swounds”, a solo exhibition by Lonsdale artist, Julie Oakes, at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery in Waterloo. This ambitious project has been long in the making and we are thrilled to extend an invitation to the opening reception on Sunday, April 10 from 1-5pm. Julie will be speaking about the project at 1:30pm.
A small selection of the “Swounds” project was featured in an exhibition at Lonsdale Gallery in January 2011 as part of the group show “Avian”. We are excited for the fully realized project- a stunning flock of dazzling glass birds and complimentary installations.
