JOAN KAUFMAN -In the Project Room-
Landscape is a subtle yet powerful element, which is inextricably bound with the way we live our urban lives. Landscape is not just the geographical terrain and location but also the combination of the climatic conditions and the architectural icons we reference. These international photographers give us a view of their worlds from Paris to New York from the garden to the river from private to imaginary spaces.
Joan Kaufman’s large-scale images construct a reality set in the stage of ancient baths. Kaufman depicts a lone figure teetering on the edge of the unknown and unpredictable.
