Lonsdale Gallery is proud to announce Julie Oakes‘ spring 2014 participation in the International Art Residency Beijing.
The International Art Residency Beijing is set in Caochangdi, next to the 798 Art District, on the outskirts of Beijing. During Mao’s regime, this industrial area was full of factories running at full tilt. Today Caochangdi houses artist studios and galleries in its large industrial spaces. This residency allows unparalleled access to some of China’s foremost artist such as Ai Wei Wei.
