2014 is an exciting year for Lonsdale Gallery’s exceptional fibre artist Amanda McCavour! McCavour has received the Best Artwork Award at the 2014 Scythia 10: International Biennial of Contemporary Textile Art. Her work has also been featured in Elle India, and on the cover of the January issue of Shuttle, Spindle & Dyepot magazine.

McCavour recently completed her Masters degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is the recent recipient of scholarships from the Canadian Federation of University Women, The Ontario Crafts Council and a Dean’s Grant from Temple University.
Amanda McCavour’s thesis exhibition was on view at Temple Contemporary at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA, between March 26–29, 2014.
