Reception Saturday, March 5, 2-5pm

Interference includes a selection of sculpture, installation, performance, and new media work by artists, Melanie Billark, Anusheh Daanish, Tracy Goldfarb, Charlotte Lung, Jessica Smith, and Whitney Wong.  Through material exploration, repetition, and language to the consideration of technology and ecology, these emerging artists are reflecting personal and public environments as a way to navigate modern society.

Lonsdale Gallery proudly supports OCAD University’s Sculpture/Installation Program. OCAD U’s Sculpture/Installation program ranks among Canada’s most prestigious and academically rigorous undergraduate fine art degrees. George Boileau, one of the gallery’s foremost established sculptors, was a core faculty member and influential in the development of the program. The emerging artists included in this exhibition are exceptional examples of this program’s 2016 graduating class.
