Lonsdale artist Peggy Taylor Reid‘s repertoire has expanded to include curation of museum exhibitions.  Photography in the Time of Digital Disenchantment opens with a talk by the curator on May 4, 2014 at PAMA (the Peel Art Museum and Archives).  The exhibit includes work by another of our artists, Montreal-based photographer Osheen Harruthoonyan.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

Digital photography changed the nature of photography. Now there is a saturation of images in electronic and social media. It created a distance from the historical tradition of the photograph as a physical object. The artists in this exhibition are trying to reestablish this link.
